Smoant Karat Kit VS S8 Kit, Which Do You Love Better?

The Karat Pod kit is the new item from Smoant after the S8 pod kit. It more or less has a similar design to S8 in appearance and structure. Unliking the S8 comes with the traditional cotton coil cartridge, the Karat adopts the quartz as the coil. Here I am going to share you my impression on the Karat.

There are five colors available for the Karat with the size 88*48*12mm and 3.3-3.4v output wattage. It belongs to the low wattage devices for flavor. It has the 370mAh battery, 2ml juice capacity and 1.3-ohm coil with refilling cartridge.

In the packing list, there is only one pod kit, one cartridge, and USD charging cable. We can get that there is an improvement to the paintwork on the surface for the Karat. The polishing Pearl like underlying paint is smooth. With the size, it can not be added to the small size pod kit.

The Logo on the face panel has a LED light which turns on when inhaling. Also, it acts as an indicator of the battery situation. The light is blue when the battery is more than 30% percentage and will change to red when it is less than 30%. During the charging, it is shining.

The pod uses the magnet for connection. In the middle of the poles, you can get the air pressure switcher structure. There is a hole for a hanging line on the bottom. The whole body of the pod is one piece design without any screws or gaps on it. It is much different from the S8, which is combined with two pieces.

The inner structure has a change base on the S8 because the Karat has a vertical core. On the bottom of the cartridge, there is two silicon case for refilling and pressure relief. The two small holes in the center are the for air-in, which leads to a tight inhaling resistance. The cartridge line design makes the pod is for MTL vaping. The narrow line on the drip tip brings a comfortable touch feeling when inhaling. The condensation during vaping, you can insert the paper into the tip for cleaning. It looks like an unsolvable problem for vape devices.

Both the S8 cotton coils and the Karat coils have their own advantages for flavor. The two items is not an A or B choice for vapers. You can choose it according to the coil material.

The flavor the Karat is close to the ceramics coil. For example, if you use the coffee juice, it would delivery the flavor of coffee, the sweet and bitterness of coffee. It has a more exquisite and soft flavor than the ceramics coil. During the vaping, no voice produced at all.
